I am delighted to have taken part in the @goalwhatonearth project for such an important charity.
My Globe was very much influenced by the change that I feel is happening in Ireland and other countries, we are in a time of multiple feminisms, and I wanted to reflect this. The title, SISTERS, is straight to the point and comes from my Autumn Winter 2018 fashion collection, GUARANTEED TO BLEED. I wanted to celebrate women's femininity and fertility, women's periods and changing bodies should not be an embarrassment or something to be ashamed of, the culture around menstruation needs to change to women and girls feeling empowered and celebrated. You can also go and see all the 100 painted resin Globes on display in the CHQ Building at the IFSC in Dublin. The exhibition will officially open on Tuesday 16th Oct.
